We’ve officially opened our travel season. The marina turned on the water so Star Keeper has been dewinterized and is getting a spring cleaning this weekend. We’ve also scheduled 3 camping trips in April where we will mix our camping and boating hobbies as we take our Basic Keelboat certification course and how we feel about wind power. We are also planning to do a bit more overnight stays on the hook on Star Keeper and have planned our first long distance trip in the motorhome. We are meeting up with my brother his family at Walt Disney World and staying at Ft. Wilderness. We have wrapped up one of our winter projects, The Shroud of Star Keeper. While it isn’t the most amazing work we learned a lot and did end up saving money doing it ourselves. We definitely will need more practice. The next sewing project will either be a windshield screen for the motorhome or tire covers. With the motorhome in its new home on this side of the county it makes it a little easier to do test fittings.
In other news we are also slated to take sailing lessons over the next few weekends. Wish us luck. I’m going to try and get some photographs and video of us out there if its not to tough. I’m not sure what to expect but we are certainly excited about trying something new. More updates on that next week.
