Over the weekend we attended Prince William Marina’s Annual Slipholders Party and as with the first one it was a blast. This annual event was actually the first one we attended back in February of 2015. We had not even closed on “Getting Away” yet and our sales guy Steve Hedrick invited us to attend. I think this is what sealed the deal for Lisa. The social aspects of the marina are one of its biggest aspects. This event also raises funds for the local search and rescue units to allow them to fulfill their mission. The rubber ducks you see here are purchased as a raffle. They then bring them out to PWM via helicopter and drop them into the lift area where they are pushed into a chute by the propwash. Its an impressive sight at opening day ceremonies.
